Auto Refill

Auto Refill is a prescription service that automatically refills chronic medications shortly before they are due for refill so that when a patient requires a medication, it is ready to be picked up.

Once enrolled, Propel Rx will attempt to adjudicate the prescription through any third parties and place the prescription in the proper workflow queue according to your Workflow preferences on the day that the prescription is due to be refilled.

Auto-processing is not applicable to British Columbia or Newfoundland and Labrador pharmacies. Auto Refill prescriptions will remain in the Data Entry queue for manual processing.

  • Narcotics, controlled and targeted prescriptions will auto process on the Refill Due Date, not earlier.

  • Prescription that require intervention will appear in the Data Entry with a Status of Queued.

  • The ready date and time will appear in the Ready Time column on the Workbench and print or display on the file copy.

Auto Refill prescriptions can be identified in any queue on the Workbench with an A.
