If a inactivated or suspended prescription is local, you can reactivate it from Propel Rx which will update its status on the EHR. If a resume date was specified when the prescription was inactivated, the prescription will be automatically reactivated on the chosen date; however, you can still manually resume the prescription earlier if needed.
You can only resume inactivated or suspended prescriptions. In Alberta, you cannot resume a discontinued or revoked prescription but you can refill it to create a new authorization if you received a new prescription or changed the status in error.
If the prescription is not local (i.e., on the EHR only), you can resume it from the EHR Profile.
For more information on resuming inactivated or suspended prescriptions, refer to the Resuming a Suspended Prescription from Propel Rx section of the Alberta RTI User Guide.
