PrescribeIT® Transactions

With PrescribeIT®, more than just prescriptions are sent between your pharmacy and the prescribers.

The term transaction is used to refer to the types of information sent and received using Propel Rx and PrescribeIT®. Transactions include prescriptions, a variety of requests, approvals and rejections and are split into two categories.

Incoming Transactions Outgoing Transactions

Incoming transactions are transactions sent from the prescriber to your pharmacy through PrescribeIT®.

The following are types of incoming transactions:

  • New Rx Request

  • Renewal Rx Order

  • Deferred (Non-Directed) Order

  • Cancel Rx Request

  • Renewal Response (Approved, Approved with Changes, Under Review and Denied)

  • Clinician Communication

Outgoing transactions are transactions sent from your pharmacy to the prescriber through PrescribeIT®.

The following are types of outgoing transactions:

  • Dispense prescription notifications

  • Cancel prescription notifications

  • Authorization requests

  • Clinician Communication
