Adherence Preferences
This topic is intended for Independent pharmacies only and is not applicable to Rexall pharmacies.
The fields in the Adherence Preferences window are used to set preferences for the Adherence programs within Propel Rx. Some of these programs may require a subscription to use.
Auto Refill
Selecting the Auto Refill checkbox enables the Auto Refill function for refilling medications when they are due.
Enter the number of days in advance, prior to the prescription's refill due date, when you would like it to be added to the Data Entry queue. The refill can be manually processed from the Workbench or automatically processed if the Background IVR, Auto Refill, Web Refill preference is selected in Pharmacy Preferences.
For more information about the program, see Auto Refill.
diem health
The diem health checkbox is selected if the diem health program is active at your pharmacy. Please note, diem health is only available to IDA, Guardian, and Medicine Shoppe banner stores. This setting cannot be edited.
When diem health is active, a Consent button is available for recording your pharmacy's consent in participating in the program. Only Pharmacy Manager users can enter consent for diem health. Once consent is entered, it remains on file and the date is displayed for all users to see.
Two consent dates may display:
-
Last consent date - most recent date a Pharmacy Manager user added consent. This can display if a user enters consent again or there is a change in pharmacy ownership.
-
Published consent date - date the first consent was recorded.
The Defer System Tray Prompting setting determines how many days a patient information update notification from diem health can be deferred (i.e., hidden when the Patient Folder is opened).
For more information about the program, see diem health.
Notifications
The Notifications section controls the sending of Pickup Reminders and Refill Reminders for specific programs at the pharmacy level. Some of these settings can be overridden at the patient level to allow for customization by patient preference.
-
Auto-Send - determines if Pickup Reminders are transmitted automatically from Propel Rx after a prescription completes the last step in Workflow. Some programs which follow the Auto-Send preference include Amjay Software Solutions and Text Messages.
If your pharmacy uses IVR from a service provider that is not Amjay Software Solutions, the Auto-Send preference does not apply. Pickup Reminders will be sent automatically regardless of the setting.
-
Pickup Reminders - determines if Pickup Reminders are sent for all, selected, or no patients in your pharmacy. If turned on, you can further refine who receives Pickup Reminders from the Patient Folder.
-
Refill Reminder - determines if Refill Reminders are sent for all, selected, or no patients in your pharmacy. If turned on, you can further refine who receives Refill Reminders from the Patient Folder.
-
Include Opt Out Message - only applicable to IVR. Selecting this checkbox allows an opt out message to be part of the IVR outbound call. When turned on, the first call a patient receives for a refill reminder will include an option to opt out of refill reminders.
-
Pre Compliance Call - determines when the Refill Reminder will be sent based on the number of days before a prescription's days supply completes. The date a prescription is due for refill is calculated from the Pickup Date; if the prescription does not have a Pickup Date, the due date is calculated from the Fill Date. If set to a value (not None), you can further refine when a Refill Reminder is sent from the Patient Folder.
-
Notification Cut-Off - only applicable to the Text Messages program. The setting determines the cut-off time for a Pickup Reminder based on the store's closing hours. For more information, see Notification Cut-Off.
