Configuring Propel Rx for Auto Refill

This topic is intended for Independent pharmacies only and is not applicable to Rexall pharmacies.

The Auto Refill preference can be enabled in Pharmacy Preferences. Once enabled, you can set when an Auto Refill prescription will appear on the Workbench based on the number days before its refill due date.

To turn on Auto Refill in Propel Rx:

  1. Select More (...) > Pharmacy.

  2. Select Adherence. The Adherence Preferences window opens.

  3. Select the Auto Refill checkbox.

  4. In the days before refill due field, enter the number of days before the prescription's refill due date that you want to add it to the Data Entry queue on the Workbench. This only applies to prescriptions for patients enrolled in Auto Refill.

    If 0 is entered, the refill appears in the Data Entry queue on the day it is due.

  5. Select OK.

  6. Select Save. Auto Refill is enabled and you may now enroll patients in the Auto Refill program.
