Prescriber Preferences
In the patient's Preferences tab, prescribers can be added to display prescribers that a prescription for the patient was submitted under and can be used to identify a patient's primary prescriber.
By default, when a prescription is processed under a prescriber, their information will display in the prescriber preferences section of the Preferences tab.
These prescribers cannot be removed from the Preferences tab. Only prescribers that were added manually can be removed from the Preferences tab.
Use the dropdowns below to learn more about adding, removing and setting prescribers to be a primary prescriber.
By default, when a prescription is processed under a prescriber, their information will display in the prescriber preferences section of the Preferences tab.
However, a prescriber can be manually added to the Preferences tab, if required.
To add a prescriber to the Preferences tab:

Search for and select a patient.

Select the Preferences tab.

In the prescriber section, select Add.
The Prescriber Search window appears.

Search for and select a prescriber. The prescriber displays in the prescriber section.

Select Save.
Prescribers that were automatically added to the Preferences tab due to a prescription submitted under their name cannot be removed. Only prescribers that were manually added can be removed.
To remove a prescriber from the Preferences tab:

Search for and select a patient.

Select the Preferences tab.

Highlight the prescriber and select Remove.

Select Save.
A prescriber listed in the Preferences tab can be set as the Primary prescriber for a patient. When a Primary prescriber is set, their information is automatically populated when entering a new prescription for the patient.
To set a Primary prescriber for a patient:

Search for and select a patient.

Select the Preferences tab.

Select the Primary checkbox for the prescriber that is the patient's primary prescriber.

Select Save.
