Sample Text Message Notifications

This topic is intended for Rexall pharmacies only and is not applicable to Independent pharmacies.

Select the dropdowns below for sample text messages that the patient can receive when they're enrolled in text message notifications.

The following message is sent to a patient when they have enrolled in Pickup Reminders and/or Refill Reminders in Propel Rx. If the patient was enrolled in both programs at the same time, only one welcome message is sent.

  • "Welcome to your pharmacy's notification service. Text HELP for info or STOP to opt out. Std rates may apply."

When the patient texts "HELP," "INFO," or "AIDE," the following message is sent about notification reminders.

  • English (HELP, INFO): "Notification reminders will be sent when your Prescription is due for Refill and/or ready for pickup. Text STOP to opt out. Std rates may apply."

  • French (AIDE): "Vous êtes inscrit au service de rappel de retrait. Vous recevrez une notification lorsque vos ordonnances seront prêtes à être récupérées. La fréquence des messages varie. Répondez STOP pour vous désinscrire. StdMsgRtsAply."

The following message is sent to a patient to notify them that their Prescription(s) is ready for pickup. The pharmacy's name and Prescription number(s) are NOT included in the message. For more information on pickup notifications, see Text Message Pickup Reminders.

  • If only one Prescription is ready for pickup: "<Patient's First Name>'s Prescription is ready for pickup. Text STOP to opt out. Std rates may apply."

  • If more than one Prescription is ready for pickup: "<Patient's First Name>'s Prescriptions are ready for pickup. Text STOP to opt out. Std rates may apply."

The following message is sent to a patient to notify them that their Prescription(s) are due for Refill. The pharmacy's name and Prescription number(s) are NOT included in the message. For more information on Refill notifications, see Text Message Refill Reminders.

  • “<Patient First Name> has Prescription(s) due for Refill. Contact your pharmacy for details. Text STOP to opt out. Std rates may apply.”

When the patient unenrolls from notifications by texting "STOP" or "ARRET," the following message informs the patient that no text messages will be received from this number going forward. For more information on stopping notifications, see Stopping Text Message Notifications.

  • English (STOP): "NETWORK MSG: You replied with the word “stop” which blocks all texts sent from this number. Text back “unstop” or “start” to receive messages again."

  • French (ARRET): "MSG RÉSEAU: Vous avez répondu avec le mot "ARRET" qui bloque tous les textes envoyés à partir de ce numéro. Renvoyer le message "NONARRET" pour recevoir à nouveau les messages."
