Counsel

The Counsel menu from the Drug Folder includes a list of counselling leaflets that can be generated and printed from the local database or PharmaNet. For PharmaNet leaflets, the Pharmacy Name can be selected to print on the leaflet.

The following counselling leaflets are available:

• Standard - generates the drug leaflet from the local database. You can set the leaflet to print for new, refill, all, or no prescriptions in English or French. Printing preferences for leaflets can also be set from Pharmacy Preferences. The leaflet setting at the drug level override the pharmacy level setting. If the preference is set to Default, the leaflet prints according to the pharmacy level setting.

• Educational - generates a block of information from PharmaNet about the drug.

• Educational with generics - contains the same information as an Educational leaflet and generic equivalents at the top.

• Professional - generates a summary of information about the drug that can be used by the pharmacist to guide them in their counselling.

• Professional with generics - contains the same information as a Professional leaflet and generic equivalents at the top.

• Patient - generates a summary of information about the drug that can be given to the patient.

• Patient with generics - contains the same information as a Patient leaflet and generic equivalents at the top.
